The Sampler Engine is a new addition to Pigments as part of the most recent update. Let’s move on to the Wavetable Synthesis Engine below. You can send the whole synth mix to one of two filters, adjust the global modulation, and there’s even a noise generator. Finally, there is the Super mode which increases the number of voices in the style of the Roland Jupiter SUPERSAW. Then there is a Chords mode which allows you to choose a chord preset. We get a Classic mode which allows you to increase the number of voices. The second global parameter we love is the Unison mode. This allows you to tune the synth in an explicitly musical manner. You can select which notes you want to omit from the coarse tuning knob.
#ARTURIA PIGMENTS 2 KEY MOD#
The first worth mentioning is the Mod Quantize. The Analog Synthesizer has some global parameters that apply to each oscillator. That’s a great feature, we’ve docked other synths for lacking visuals like that. You’ll quickly notice the oscillators display the waveforms and even display their movement. You can activate key tracking, FM synthesis, and adjust the waveform of each. But they may only tell the most important ones for the sound, if about any modulators. The Analog Synthesis engine mode opens three oscillators for adjustment. I can say, that in addition to what you can see on the GUI, then many presets has comments of what they use.

It's up to you to learn about the above.Īsking which presets that use what does'nt really make sense, as i hope the above also show.
#ARTURIA PIGMENTS 2 KEY MANUALS#
There is no reason Arturias manuals shall mention ROLI. Please keep in mind that Arturia have nothing to do with ROLI, and that ROLI just can do MPE.
#ARTURIA PIGMENTS 2 KEY HOW TO#
You can apply something yourself in any sound, if you just learn how to use Pigments (An application) - including how to use the modulators and apply modulation.īe sure to activate MPE in Pigments bottom toolbar, if that's what you wan't to use. So you can search any sound in Pigments (An application), if the modulators is set to modulate anything. I think that of Arturias applications it's only Matrix 12 V and Synclavier V that has Release Velocity modulator.Īny of the above modulators only does audioble modulation, if the modulators is set to modulate something in the sound, that you can hear. Very few synths on the marked support this modulator. Roli Lift = Release Velocity and it's not a Midi CC. I suggest you learn about Generel Midi CC and about Midi learn in Pigments and other applications In pigments You can see the Expression modulator in the center modulator strip named EXP. If you set it to Midi CC#11, then it will control generel Midi Expression. In pigments You can see the Modwheel modulator in the center modulator strip named MW. If you set it to Midi CC#01, then it wheel control the Modwheel. The set MIDI CC is in generel Midi used for Filter Cutoff. Roli Glide = Pitchbend and it's not a Midi CC - IN Pigments the PitchWheel only modulate Pitch.

Roli Press = Aftertouch and it's not a Midi CC - In pigments You can see the Aftertouch modulator in the center modulator strip named AT. Also Velocity is in example a choice for the AMP MOD.

Roli Strike = Velocity and it's not a Midi CC - In pigments You can see the Velocity modulator in the center modulator strip named VELO. I suggest you read the link the OP have posted.
